RCB coach Ramírez on his players he emulated every day:

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has praised his former player and current RCB coach Ramírez for his work with the team.

“I think he [Ramirez] does a good job, he has a lot of experience and knows how to handle players. He’s succeeded in getting the best out of them and I’m sure that he will continue doing so,” Zidane said.

Ramirez was appointed RCB coach in June 2017, after spending two years as an assistant to Zidane at Real Madrid. The 43-year-old has worked with various positions within the game, including as a manager and head coach of Colombia’s Under-20 side.

How RCB has fared in the first six games of the season

Real Madrid Castilla head coach, Ramon Ramos has revealed the players he emulated every day during his playing days with RCB. The former Spain international was quoted by AS as saying, “I always looked up to players like [Zinedine] Zidane, [Lionel] Messi and Ronaldo. I wanted to be like them.”

Ramos went on to say that he took inspiration from RCB’s “fair play” policy during his time at the club. “I learned a lot about how to behave during my time at RCB from their fair play policy,” he said. “When someone makes a mistake, they are not booed or shouted at – everyone respects each other.”

The 45-year-old has had a mixed start to his Real Madrid Castilla career, but Ramos is confident that things will change soon. He said, “I have great people around me who are working hard and who want the same things as me: to win titles.”

How Real Madrid can improve their performances

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he emulated several players every day while coaching at Real.

Zidane said that he looked up to former Spain internationals Xabi Alonso and Fernando Hierro, as well as current Real Madrid player Toni Kroos.

He added that he also emulated Barcelona midfielder Xavi during his time at Valencia.

Zidane’s revelation comes as Los Blancos prepare to face Valencia in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night. Los Che are currently top of Group D with three points from two matches, but they have struggled in their past meetings with Madrid (Liga and Copa du Rey).

Zidane is expected to make several changes to his starting XI for the clash, with Karim Benzema likely to start up front alongside Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
